“British man with disability delivering second annual ‘World’s Biggest…’ charity event”

PRESS RELEASE: For immediate release

January 30, 2022

“British man with disability delivering second annual ‘World’s Biggest…’ charity event” I thought you might like to know that for the second year running Steven Dowd (UK) will be delivering EnduRow Challenge; the World’s biggest, live streamed, fully-inclusive, indoor rowing charity event.

Everyone. Everywhere. Pulling together. 4 hours of indoor rowing accompanied by a Pro-hosted livestream for the duration.

People can row-n-raise for the whole time solo, share the time with friends as a crew (even a remote crew), row at home or in a venue. This year all funds raised will go to Para Rowing Foundation; an international not-for-profit based in Massachusetts who are powering people with impairments around the World to become the best athlete they can be through rowing. PRF are action-oriented advocates who work on accessibility and opportunity for people with disabilities through trainings, equipment and outright grants. EnduRow’s many supporters around the World include national governing bodies such as US Rowing and high profile athletes, Olympians and Paralympians who are taking part. Last year, despite lockdown when other events were being canceled around the World, we had 1000 participants across 11 countries raise £27,000 for Wings for Life Spinal cord injury Research. An important charity to me because I broke my neck and was totally paralysed in 2016 and they run experimental clinical trials, one of which helped me stage an against the odds recovery. Happy to discuss if of interest…

STEVEN DOWD

Watch the livestream: February 5th ( 7-11 AM, US Eastern Time) at www.endurowchallenge.com
