Jenny Sichel (PLY)

Jenny Sichel brings nearly 20 years of rowing experience, from novice coaching to competing as an international coxswain. She has represented the USA at seven World Rowing Championships, earning four silver medals, and won a Paralympic silver medal at the 2016 Games in Rio.
Passionate about para rowing, Jenny has coached at every level, from grassroots programs to leading one of the largest para rowing clubs in the USA. She also provides remote coaching worldwide and served as Head Coach of PRF’s Portugal Rowing Intensive, where she developed training schedules, managed logistics, and guided athletes and coaches through a high-performance environment.
Beyond coaching, Jenny contributes to PRF through program development, equipment coordination, and event planning. She also works full-time in disability advocacy, running operations for a national nonprofit. Outside of rowing, Jenny champions athlete mental health through sports broadcasting and improv comedy.

Batenga Nakisozi is an experienced rowing coach and sports leader with national and international expertise. She serves as Secretary General of the Uganda Rowing Federation, National Rowing Coach for Uganda, and a World Rowing Indoor Commission Member.
She has coached athletes at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, World Rowing Cup I, African Championships, and PRF’s Training Intensive, supporting elite and emerging para rowers worldwide. A strong advocate for women in sport, Batenga has participated in the IOC Women in Sport High Performance Pathway (WISH) and ASOIF Women in Sports Leadership Programme, advancing female representation in global sport.
Through PRF, Batenga contributes to the development of para rowing in Uganda by identifying talent, supporting regional capacity building, and helping secure adaptive equipment to expand opportunities for para athletes.

It means athletes in my nation can dream bigger, push further, and know they belong on the world stage."
Mwanga William, a Level 3 USRowing coach, began his career in Uganda in 2010 and quickly rose to become Head Coach of both the Uganda Para Rowing Team and the National Rowing Team (U18). He has since coached athletes at all levels in Uganda, Kenya, and the United States, with successes at the Eastern and Central African Championships, the Gavirate International Para Rowing Regatta, and the Tokyo and Paris Olympics.
As an athlete, Mwanga has competed across Africa and the United States since 2011, with appearances at the Head of the Schuylkill, Independence Day Regatta, and Head of the Charles. He has coached at the Craftsbury Outdoor Center since 2021 and works closely with PRF as a coach and advisor, including at PRF’s Intensive Training Workshops in Portugal. He is committed to advancing opportunities for African rowers and para athletes.

Bruce Lynn

“My passion is not only coaching athletes but also telling the story of adaptive rowing so more people can see its value. Through PRF, I can combine both — providing technical support while also helping shine a light on athletes who deserve recognition. Awareness is just as important as opportunity, and PRF plays a vital role in bringing both to para rowing worldwide.”
Bruce Lynn has been coaching and writing about adaptive and para rowing for more than a decade at Marlow Rowing Club in the UK, home to one of the largest adaptive rowing programmes in the world. He also serves on the leadership team of the Community Adaptive Group, which coordinates and supports adaptive rowing across the UK, and manages Adaptive Rowing UK, a leading online resource for the sport.
At PRF, Bruce contributes his expertise by providing technical support and helping to identify promising athletes for development. His work combines hands-on coaching with advocacy and communication, ensuring that adaptive rowers have both the training and visibility needed to succeed.

Working with the Para Rowing Foundation gives me the opportunity to bring high performance and strength and conditioning expertise directly to para rowers, ensuring they have the same tools, confidence, and support as any elite athlete in the sport.”
Alex Wolf is a leading expert in rowing performance and strength and conditioning, with over 15 years of experience at the highest level of the sport. He played a pivotal role with British Rowing through the London 2012 and Rio 2016 Olympic Games and later led performance strategy for the Chinese Rowing Team ahead of the Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024 Olympics.
Alongside his international work, Alex has supported athletes and coaches across all levels, from juniors to elite professionals, with a focus on turning science into practical, impactful solutions. He is the lead author and content creator for Science of Rowing and author of Strength and Conditioning for Rowing.
At Para Rowing Foundation, Alex provides strength and conditioning expertise, guiding para rowers to build confidence, develop strong foundations, and maximie their performance in the sport.

Brandon Kane

At the foundation, I can help para rowers build strength, recover effectively, and trust their training, giving them the tools to perform at their best on the water and beyond.”
Brandon Kane is a seasoned exercise physiologist with seventeen years of experience and dual certifications from the American College of Sports Medicine. Since joining the Lakeshore Foundation in 2015, he has focused on adapted exercise and sport, playing a key role in launching the Lakeshore Sports Science and Performance Center in 2023. As Associate Director, he oversees all sports science initiatives, including developing testing protocols, strength and conditioning programs, and recovery strategies.
Brandon joined PRF in 2025 as the strength and conditioning expert at the Intensive Training Camp in Avis, Portugal, where he led S&C sessions, recovery support, and testing data collection. He continues to make himself available to PRF athletes, offering guidance on sport science and exercise training. Beyond work, Brandon enjoys drawing and has a lifelong passion for weather and meteorology. He lives in Trussville, Alabama, with his wife, two daughters, and their dog.

Dr. Jonathan Jenkins is a sport psychologist in the Sport Psychology Department and a child psychologist in the Child and Adolescent Outpatient Department at Massachusetts General Brigham Hospital in Boston. He is also a member of the Harvard Medical School teaching community.
For nearly a decade, Jonathan has supported athletes at every level, from youth to collegiate, professional, Olympic, and para athletes, across the Greater Boston and New England region. His work focuses on helping athletes strengthen their mental approach, build resilience, and perform with confidence in high-pressure environments.
Jonathan brings a deep commitment to athlete well-being, ensuring that performance is balanced with mental health, and that every athlete has the tools to thrive in both sport and life.

Benn Klewpatinond

For me, it is about more than design; it is about ensuring every para athlete has access to high performance solutions that let them train, compete, and thrive without barriers.”
Benn Klewpatinond is the Founder of Inond, an award winning product realisation company that transforms ideas into market ready solutions. A qualified British Rowing coach and former Club Captain at Milton Keynes Rowing Club, Benn’s roots in the sport run deep, with the club’s top eight named after his eldest daughter. He has competed at Henley Royal Regatta and collaborated with Sir Steve Redgrave and Anthony Hamilton on the invention of FloatRower.
Blending strategy, engineering, and people centred design, Benn has delivered innovations across sport, health, wellbeing, and inclusive design. His Thai Scottish heritage and global network strengthen Inond’s supply chain across the UK, Europe, North America, and Asia. At PRF, Benn advises on product strategy and accessible design, leading research, prototyping, and testing for adaptive rowing equipment. His work connects partners and builds pathways from insight to manufacture, ensuring para athletes gain practical, high performance solutions.

Ruth Ellen Outlaw, AIA

Through my work with the Para Rowing Foundation, I can help clubs create spaces that are not only accessible but truly welcoming. Universal design means no one is left behind, and that is the future I want to help build in rowing.”
Ruth Ellen Outlaw is an architect whose work focuses on creating accessible environments that welcome people of all abilities. As the mother of a visually impaired para rower, she brings both professional expertise and personal insight to the design of rowing facilities. Her approach balances ADA standards with practical, cost sensitive solutions that respect a club’s culture and history while meeting the unique needs of para athletes.
Ruth Ellen believes accessibility benefits everyone. Obstacle free routes and inclusive spaces not only serve disabled athletes but also improve the experience for able bodied rowers, making “universal design” her guiding principle. Through PRF, she offers her services pro bono to clubs and teams seeking to improve accessibility from quick reviews to detailed consultations and in person visits. Her practice is based in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Fay Kim Fai Ho (OLY)

“My journey in sport has always been driven by the belief that every athlete deserves a place to shine. Working with the Para Rowing Foundation allows me to continue advocating for equity and opportunity, ensuring para athletes are not only included but truly valued in the global sporting community.”
Fay Ho is the Continental Representative for Asia on the World Rowing Council, Senior Vice President of the Asian Rowing Federation, and Deputy Secretary General of the Hong Kong, China Olympic Committee.
A former Olympian in both rowing and canoeing, Fay has spent her career championing inclusion in sport for individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities. She chaired World Rowing’s Para Commission from 2006 to 2020 and has served as Para Team Manager, National Director of Special Olympics Hong Kong, and Executive Director of the Hong Kong Sports Association for the Intellectually Disabled. She was also World Rowing Assistant Technical Delegate for the Beijing, London, and Rio Paralympic Games.
Fay remains deeply committed to barrier free inclusion, gender equality, and creating opportunities for athletes with disabilities worldwide. She is honoured to serve as an Adviser to PRF and to continue advocating for para athletes.

Chris Perry
Lead Development Expert for Asia at World Rowing
“Rowing has given me a lifetime of purpose, and I believe its opportunities should be open to everyone. The Para Rowing Foundation is helping make that vision real by supporting athletes and coaches where it matters most. I am proud to play a part in that journey.”
Chris Perry is World Rowing’s Lead Development Expert for Asia, responsible for delivering coach education, training camps, and development programmes for athletes and coaches across the region. His expertise spans Para, Coastal, and Classic Rowing, and he is a qualified World Rowing Educator in all three disciplines.
A professional rowing coach since 1983, Chris spent 36 years as Head Coach of Hong Kong, China, leading crews to eight Olympic Games and nine Asian Games. He also serves on World Rowing’s Competitive Commission and its Seeding, Fairness, Water Safety, and Safeguarding Panels.
As a PRF Adviser, Chris shares his experience in athlete and coach development, mentoring, and safeguarding, supporting PRF’s mission to make rowing a more accessible and inclusive sport for all.
