Large Group Training Intensives are designed for elite and future elite athletes to experience the daily routine of a national team camp with two-a-day on-the-water sessions, on-land trainings, and whole athlete resources such as massage and Sports Psychology support. PRF also addresses issues like accessibility to rooms, restrooms, and transportation while providing financial support so para athletes can be free to concentrate on training. Previous large group intensives have been held at:
Herdade da Cortesia Avizaqcua Team Center Avis, Portugal March 2023
Para Rowing Training Intensive at Craftsbury VT, September 2019
Herdade da Cortesia Avizaqcua Team Center Avis, Portugal March 2019
Small Group Training Intensives were initially created as a response to pandemic protocol, but soon became a mainstay for PRF to work with athletes where they row, live, and have support resources. To date, PRF has brought coaching and/ or para equipment to para athletes throughout the United States (FL, GA, PA, NH, NC, NY, and Washington, DC), as well as internationally via video to the Netherlands, Portugal, Kenya, and the United Kingdom.
