Grants Funded By PRF

Rowing is an expensive sport that is learned through experience. The most commonly expressed concern of athletes and future para rowing athletes is cost.  PRF works towards a world where any para athlete can focus on their training without distraction.

As para athletes take the time to seek finances, para-experienced coaching, proper equipment and transportation, it takes a great deal of energy and attention away from a para rower’s task at hand…rowing and training.

PRF offers a variety of grant opportunities throughout the year for para athletes and their coaches. Some include those for travel to training and competitions, para equipment, racing fees, and boat rentals.

PRF Travel/Training Grants have provided access to:

  • 2023 Gavirate International Para Rowing Regatta

  • 2022 Gavirate International Para Training and Regatta

  • 2022 World Rowing Para Coach Training in Tunisia

  • 2021 Tokyo Paralympic Grant

  • 2021 Paralympic Qualifiers Grant

  • 2021 US Paralympic Trials II
