Intensive Trainings

PRF recognizes the time and energy it takes to travel and train as a para rower. Physical and mental barriers to entry and a lack of opportunity are common problems for para athletes globally. 

Some challenges include:

Are there ramps or an elevator to get to my room?

Are there bathrooms that are accessible to me?

Will coaches understand my physical needs?

Can I afford this? 

PRF addresses these issues and more so you can fully concentrate on your training. All elite and future-elite para rowers are welcome to apply.

Below is the experience of one of the rowers who attended PRF's 2025 Intensive Training: Eelcko Henstra, a national team rower prior to an unexpected injury in 2016. He is now a PR1 para rower and finding his way back to the sport he loved using his body’s capabilities in a different way.

Application is necessary to participate. 

Generous grants are also available after an athlete is accepted.

Every detail is para-mindful with an eye to accessibility allowing the athlete's complete focus to be on training. Included in pricing are:

  • high-performance para coaches

  • athlete-centered intakes

  • two on-the-water sessions each day
