At this site, coaches and prospective athletes can find more info about the various classifications for para rowing. In these EnduRow videos Nick Baker (International Paralympic Rowing Coach) and Clare Holman (Indoor Rowing Coach) walk through proper rowing techniques for PR3, PR2, and PR1 rowing.

PR3 generally is including rowers who have the use of their legs, trunk and arms, who can utilize the sliding seat.

PR2 generally is including rowers who have the use of their trunk and arms but are unable to use their legs to move their sliding seat.

PR1 generally is including rowers who have use of their arms and shoulders but are unable to use their trunk nor their legs to propel the boat.

Nick Baker has been a Head Coach for GB Paralympic Rowing since 2022. Read about Nick Baker Here.
